The Sixth Avenue Church of God exists to bring individuals into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to help them learn to follow Christ and to lead them into the fullness of the Spirit-filled life.

Our vision is to be a Pentecostal church that ministers to the entire family.  We will do this through worship, evangelism, discipleship, prayer, youth and children's ministries, care and missions.

• Worship:  We want to provide for the local Body of Christ a foundation of worship and celebration which gives opportunity for every believer to worship the Lord in spirit and truth.  (John 4:23-24)
• Evangelism:  We want to provide the opportunity for every believer to be involved in reaching the harvest and in seeing the harvest through varied ministries.  (John 4:35)
• Discipleship:  We want to train and disciple believers who in turn will train and nurture others.  (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Timothy 2:2)
• Care:  We want to provide an atmosphere of love, care and concern.  (John 13:35)
• Prayer:  We want all to realize that we are totally dependant upon God for help and that He hears and answers prayer.  (John 15:5; James 5:16c)
• Youth and Children:  We want to provide the opportunities for youth and children to know that they are loved by God and that God has a plan for their life.  (Ecclesiastes 12:1; Matthew 19:14)
• Missions:  We want to provide the opportunity for the local body to see and to be a part of reaching the worldwide harvest.  (Mark 16:15)
